"Rose Mortem" the fashion label was created in 1998 when I first began designing clothing professionally and launched my online label.
I have contributed as an artist, consultant and show coordinator on numerous occasions throughout my fashion career, specializing in
custom designs for other artists and musicians, and working with independent filmmakers. Over the years my label has been featured in
publications around the globe; I continue to release new designs often, streamlining the current selection to reflect a variety of
ideas from past and present inspirations.
As a compulsive music fan and ever-aspiring musician, music remains my most essential inspiration today. This inspiration has resulted
in creations that, I hope, feel like the music that has played such an important role throughout my career. In 2008 I became the
pianist/keyboardist for The Awakening, and married South African composer Ashton Nyte. This partnership continues to be the most
inspiring and influential of my life. Today I continue to tour with Ashton, expand my fashion line, and write.
Fashion, music and writing are my full-time occupations; I'm thankfully able to devote my life to my art. When I'm not touring or
looking for other excuses to travel, I predominantly reside in the US with my husband, two sons and two rather ferocious house cats.
